ALL ABOUT US

The East Coast Challenge continues to attracts participants Australia wide, as well as a strong local contingent. The event is known for its very social atmosphere, while providing a competitive arena for those who still believe that elusive slam dunk is just around the corner. Most veterans stand by the theory that when a dunk becomes a 3pt play they will do it! Such is its popularity a ceiling is put on the number of teams that can participate and each Queen’s birthday weekend in June when approx 40 teams make the trip to Logan where the “Journey still remains the Prize”.

Whilst Basketball Queensland sanctioned, the ECC is solely administered by a committee of like-minded, voluntary basketball ‘nuts’ who work together to ensure the smooth running of the event. We are firm believers that sport (in particular basketball) can be a lifelong activity and we are proud to provide that opportunity for all. The East Coast Challenge is another event which puts Logan firmly in the sporting spotlight each year and continues to bring obvious commercial and regional awareness.

The East Coast Challenge is now the sponsor of the Junior East Coast Challenge, a one day event where Club teams participate within a friendly environment. The ECC also sponsors junior representative players.
